How To Join
Simply call in to any office and our staff will process your membership application. Under the Criminal Justice Act 1995 (Re: Money Laundering) you MUST bring original documentation to establish the following:
Your Identity
- Current Passport OR
- Current Driver's Licence OR
- Form ML10. (Available from your local Garda Station)
- A colour passport sized photograph.
Your Address
- Utility bill, bank statement, insurance renewal or official correspondence from the government (in your name), addressed to your home within the past 3 months OR
- Mortgage Statement or Certificate of Tax Credits (in your name), addressed to your home dated within the past 12 months.
Your PPS number
- This year an additional requirement has been introduced by the Revenue Commisioners that we must obtain evidence of the member's PPS number when enroling a new member.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS ALSO APPLIES WHEN AN EXISTING MEMBER, WHO HAS NOT ALREADY PROVIDED A PPS NUMBER, WISHES TO OPEN A NEW ACCOUNT.
Exceptions
- Married people who do not have evidence of address in their own name, evidence of address in their spouse's name is acceptable but MUST be accompanied by a State Marriage Certificate.
- Children Under 18 - Children under 18 may use a State Birth Certificate as evidence of identity and a parent's utility bill / government correspondence as evidence of address. Where the parent is already a member of the Credit Union, no evidence of address is required.
Eligibility
To join Community Credit Union you must either:
- Live in the common bond (catchment area) OR
- Work in the common bond.
- Live in the household of AND be a member of the family of a person who is currently a member OR
- Be an employee of OSI (Ordnance Survey Ireland).
